Divergent Media is hiring a media assistant to help out with various projects as we grow. We’re busy working on the day to day tasks of shipping great software and supporting our customers. We need your help to experiment with side projects we haven’t had the time to explore. You’ll help us create new web content, videos, tutorials, as well as picking up some slack in the more mundane day to day office tasks.
Duties may include:
- interacting with customers via email, twitter, phone and our website
- editing video pieces, making blog posts, copy writing support docs
- researching industry trends online
- testing our applications and submitting bug reports
- data entry
- customer database management
Divergent Media is currently a two person company. We are so small that we both do a bit of everything, and as we get comfortable with you, there will be opprotunities to expand into whatever areas you are interested in.
Part Time, 20 hrs a week. On location in our Soma office. Pay will be $15/hr.
Experience with some aspect of video production (shooting, editing, etc)
Good communication skills
Ability to write clearly and professionally
Basic web skills
Comfort with Macintosh computers
Basic HTML and/or markdown editing
Experience with FCP, Avid or Premiere Pro
